Investigating the political sociology of the role of political participation in the understanding of modern democracy after the Iranian Islamic Revolution

Abstract The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of political participation in modern democracy in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Modern democracy is considered one of the main parts of political life in most countries of the world today, and it is one of the pillars of democracy. It can play an important role in the participation and supervision of citizens on the performance and decisions of political system workers, the parliament and the parliamentary system and its special role in various countries in the affairs of elections and in the Islamic Republic, hence this question has been raised. Is it possible to consider whether political participation can have a significant impact in modern democracy or not? The main purpose of this article is to explore political participation in modern democracy and in the system of the Islamic Republic of Iran, so it can be said that one of the main axes of the process of political developments, especially in countries, especially in Iran, from the constitution .It has been the desire for democracy, in the conditions of democracy, it has been associated as one of the theoretical and important problems of Iranian intellectual-political currents, including socialism, Islamist and liberalism, and these currents speak of the value and desirability of democracy. In this regard, democracy is the result of popular legitimacy and popular and institutional participation based on law and legality and controlled and under the supervision of legal authority and includes political diversity and plurality.

Sociological analysis of the indicators of the revolutionary seminary in the thought of the Supreme Leader and its comparison with the Holy Quran

Abstract One of the fruits of Ayatollah Khamenei's jurisprudential and theological thoughts is the revolutionary seminary, which believes in political Islam and is based on the absolute authority of the jurist. This article aims to answer the question of what are the indicators of the revolutionary seminary from the point of view of His Holiness and what is the view of the Holy Quran on these indicators. The method of this research is qualitative and documentary method was used in data collection and thematic analysis method was used in data analysis. To answer this question, his words about this issue were examined. The resulting categories were compared with the desired categories in the Holy Quran in order to determine the extent of its conformity. The obtained indicators are: self-improvement, responding to the issues of society, collaborating and supporting the government, independent from the government in the livelihood of students, producing and explaining thoughts in the society, influencing the hearts of the people, being a scholar, taking into account the capacities of the revolution. In the analysis, the user of the capacities of the revolution in the propagation of religion. Based on the findings of the research, most of the categories extracted in the analysis of the Supreme Leader's statements have been mentioned in the verses of the Quran.

Studying Political Sociology of the Correlation between Political Intelligence and Different Forms of Political Participation (Case Study: Citizens of Kerman)

Abstract The current study examines the Studying Political Sociology of the Correlation between Political Intelligence and Different Forms of Political Participation (Case Study: Citizens of Kerman). Today, both from a theoretical and a scientific point of view, special attention is paid to the role and influence of individual components and factors affecting political participation. In this regard, this study seeks to answer this basic question: is there any meaningful correlation between the political intelligence of the citizens of Kerman and the different dimensions of their political participation? The research method in this study is descriptive-analytical. In this study, standard questionnaires have been used to measure political participation and political intelligence. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant and direct correlation between political intelligence and different dimensions of political participation among the citizens of Kerman. Also, data analysis through structural equations indicates that the standardized beta coefficient of the correlation between political intelligence and political participation is equal to (β =0.80). Furthermore, regarding the correlation between political intelligence and different dimensions of political participation according to the the calculated correlation matrix, the variable of political intelligence had a positive correlation with all dimensions of political participation, and among this, it had the highest correlation with participation in political discussions with a score of 0.725 and had the lowest correlation with participation in political gatherings with a score of 0.339.

Abstract Background and problem: The current research aims to analyze the meaning, what, why, and components and characteristics of national cohesion in the thought of Ayatollah Khamenei (Madazla Al-Aali) and the different dimensions of the issue from his perspective. Therefore, the current research seeks to answer the question, what does the concept of national cohesion mean in the political thought of Ayatollah Grand Ayatollah Khamenei (Madazla Al-Ali)? What are its dimensions and components?

Methodology: The method of the current research is qualitative and of thematic analysis type. The statistical population in this research includes all the speeches that His Holiness gave from 1368 to 1397 regarding national unity. Therefore, the method of collecting information is a library using a phishing method and referring to first-hand sources, that is, the speeches of His Holiness documented on his website. Therefore, the method of analyzing the findings was done by thematic analysis based on the Supreme Leader's website and his statements.

Results and findings: The results of the research findings in the field of the political thought of the Supreme Ayatollah Khamenei (Madazaleh Al-Ali) show the effects and political, economic, cultural and social factors in national cohesion. The components of political factors include a- leadership and authority, b- unity between the three powers and government agencies, and c- people. Also, social factors include: a) formation of trade unions, and attention to people's problems, b) formation of religious boards and attention to spiritual issues, and c) creation of healthy recreation centers.

Explaining the Sociology of Political Branding in Iranian Parties after the Islamic Revolution with an Emphasis on the Meta-Synthesis Approach

Abstract This study aimed to explain the sociology of political branding in Iranian parties after the Islamic Revolution with an emphasis on the meta-synthesis approach. For this purpose, using the qualitative research approach and meta-synthesis tools, which includes seven steps, a systematic evaluation and analysis of the results and findings of the previous research has been done. In this method, by searching the keywords "Sociology of Political Branding in Iranian Parties" in various databases, initially 2151 studies were found in the time period of 2012 to 2021 (1391 to 1400 AH). Of these, 1468 studies in terms of title, 429 studies in terms of abstract and 199 studies in terms of content were not consistent with the purpose and questions of the present research; therefore, these studies were discarded and only 55 studies that were in the field of political branding in Iranian parties after the Islamic Revolution and were in line with the purpose and questions of the present research both in terms of title and content were selected for meta-synthesis analysis and presenting a model of political branding in Iranian parties. By studying and carefully examining the finalized sources, sociological components and indicators of political branding in Iranian parties after the Islamic Revolution were extracted from each of the sources. In total, the pattern of political branding in Iranian parties after the Islamic revolution was identified and classified into 6 components and 55 indicators.

Explanation Jihad and the role of middle circles in realizing the statement of the second step of the Islamic Revolution

Abstract The method of the domination system in ruling over thoughts is seduction and the method of the divine guidance system. Therefore, in the war of narratives, the domination system is trying to dominate the public opinion and achieve its arrogant goals by distorting the facts. But on the other hand, Nizam Elahi is trying to save the public opinion from the captivity of domination through the Jihad of Enlightenment. The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution chose the strategy of explanation jihad in the war of narratives, and on the other hand, by presenting the statement of the second step, he specified the goal of the Islamic Revolution and addressed the youth. Therefore, the main responsibility of this Jihad in the direction of the statement of the second step of the Islamic Revolution is the responsibility of the middle circles who are in contact with the body of the society on the one hand and the officials of the Islamic system on the other hand. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the role of the middle circles in the Jihad of explanation with the aim of realizing the statement of the second step. The current research collects information in a library form and examines it in a descriptive-analytical form.

Abstract Islam as a political ideology was realized for the first time with the victory of the Islamic Revolution; But what is of less interest in this is the explanation of why and how the thought of political Islam was formed and developed. The discourse of political Islam, based on the thoughts of Imam Khomeini (RA), emphasizes the authority of jurisprudence, jurisprudence and clergy as the main interpreters of Sharia. Jurisprudential political Islam also emerged as the most powerful discourse after the Islamic Revolution with the support of Imam Khomeini and the clergy. The role of motivation in national mobilization the Islamic Republic of Iran

Abstract The National Mobilization is the largest popular community in various fields, among the effective factors for the creation of the National Mobilization is motivation; The present research is combined, descriptive-analytical and with field and library study; Based on the purpose of applied research and based on the nature and method, it is a survey.The statistical population of this research includes all the people in the Islamic Republic of Iran who have the ability to play a role in facing the necessary conditions for national mobilization. The purposeful sampling method and the sample size of this research was 100 people. Calculated, Out of this number, 25 people were experts in public issues in universities, 50 people were ordinary people and 25 people were members of Basij Resistance. Both library and field methods were used to collect the data of this research. The data collection tool of this research was a questionnaire with Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient of 0.9.In the data analysis of this research, descriptive statistics including mean, variance and standard deviation as well as inferential statistics including Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and one-group t-test were used. The results of the research show the direct role of motivation in national mobilization;Also, the motivation in all dimensions of faith, obedience, trust, courage, endurance and insight in the national mobilization has a significant level of zero and the error of the average deviation is less than 5, which indicates that the motivation can be significantly effective in the national mobilization.

Abstract In discussing the activity of terrorist and militia groups in Baluchistan region, which have the color of geopolitical activism and fundamentalist (anti-Shia) tendencies, the role of regional and extra-regional foreign governments is of special importance; because in the competitive or hostile atmosphere that exists around the Islamic Republic of Iran as a regional power with anti-Western and Shiite ideological tendencies, making Iran appear unstable and endangering the security of its borders can be a step towards weakening this country and the possible change of the balance of power in their favor. The main question of the current research is: What role do foreign powers play in the geopolitical activism of terrorist groups in Baluchistan? The hypothesis that is raised following this question: Regional and extra-regional powers have taken advantage of the special geopolitical situation of Baluchistan and with direct and indirect support, mainly financial, they use the movements of these groups to destabilize Iran's borders and attack the country's interests. The results of the research show that the entanglement of Baluchistan's borders between the two countries of Iran and Pakistan and its proximity to the Afghan Taliban, along with the unfavorable economic situation and political isolation and social discrimination of this area (which has a Sunni minority), have given power foreign countries have allowed them to pursue their goals and objectives better. The research method in this article is to collect historical and non-historical documents and sources in a library manner and then analyze the obtained data.

Abstract Women's political participation has always been one of the challenging issues that political systems have faced in recent decades, and despite the fact that countries have made remarkable progress in this matter and a suitable platform for their presence in the public sphere. provided, some have appeared in the public arena only due to social requirements and especially due to political considerations. For this purpose, the present article aims to investigate the role and political participation of women in the process of political development in the countries of Iran, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia, and also based on the type and extent of representation of this role and the reasons for the diminution and the partial emphasis of this role, in search of an answer to this The basic question is "what factors have affected the political participation of women in the countries of Iran, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia in the last two decades (2000-2020)?". This article has investigated the political participation of women in the three mentioned countries with a comparative approach and a descriptive-analytical method. The results indicate that political culture, legal structure and party structure in these three countries have limited women's political participation. And in this regard, against this situation, women have made their political struggles to gain their political and social rights.

Abstract The issue of political participation is general and comprehensive in human communities and it is rarely found a day when it is not talked about human rights and people’s participation in governments’ fate in the mass media, the press, and even everyday conversations. In Iran also, especially after the Islamic Revolution, political participation and specifically voting behavior grabbed particular attention. In the Iranian political and legal structure, the different means of realization of political participation have been accepted, though with some barriers, in the framework of the constitution and the laws in the area of public rights. Thus, the present study aims to analyze and explore the position of political participation in the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran. To do so, the indicators of political participation and its mechanism in the constitution were expressed using library studies. Besides, the election as one of the components of political participation in the constitution was investigated. the results indicate that the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran as the main document to guarantee rights and freedoms explicitly or implicitly enumerates the people’s political participation as a right for them and determines its boundaries. The Islamic Republic system and its constitution are created by the people’s votes and in the meantime, the election of the Supreme Leader indirectly as well as the president’s selection and selection of members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and participation, in the government administration and participation in the advancement of the country's affairs.

Abstract Each actor in the field of international relations has a specific framework and model and a defined internal logic for his activity in the field of foreign policy. In this article, an attempt has been made to examine the important question of what are the components of political jurisprudence in the field of foreign policy and how can the effects of these components be analyzed in foreign policy based on the statement of the second step of the Islamic revolution? The following article is descriptive and analytical and has investigated the mentioned question using the library method. The findings indicate that political jurisprudence is a defining model in the form of political Islam, which has been proposed as an Islamic theory in international relations. Basically, political jurisprudence is also defined as the answers of religion to the political problems of society. Therefore, in the political society formed after the revolution, in the framework of the Islamic government, foreign policy is influenced by the components of political jurisprudence in this field. The principle of negation of the mustache, central justice, support for the weak, independence and self-sufficiency, and distrust of enemies are among the most important components of political jurisprudence in foreign policy. The effects of the mentioned components are anti-arrogance and confrontation with the unipolar system, demarcation with the enemy, defense of liberation movements and axis of resistance, issuing the Islamic revolution and supporting Islamic awakening, international pacifism, anti-arrogance and preserving independence, not fearing threats from enemies.

Abstract Today the plurality of theories of revolution is such that the categorization and understanding of these theories has become a kind of scientific work. A conventional and common classification of revolution theories, which is rooted in sociological theories, is structural-cultural duality or structure-agent 8. In this category, revolution theories either explain the revolution with a structural approach or with a cultural and agent approach. There have been extensive discussions around this duality and its validity. This text puts the cultural and structural investigation of the revolution in close connection with the two propositions: revolutions come and revolutions are made, and through establishing this connection to determine the position of each of the two cultural and structural approaches and then redefine the position of the two The said proposition pays. In other words, he seeks to gain a clearer understanding of such a relationship by intentionally establishing it as a method.
