The reason for this is that in many accounts, modernity involves the spread of rationalism in all spheres of life, and the main concern of postmodernism is to deconstruct the assumptions and promises of instrumental reason. This has serious implications for the epistemological relationship between Islam and postmodernism, as well as the postmodern situation as it manifests itself in the socio-political sphere. The main question and focus of this research is the effects of postmodernism on the critical attitude of later Iranian thinkers. Relying on the explanatory method, it can be said that as far as the denial of all major narratives by postmodernists is concerned, the oneness of God and the legitimacy of His religion, His prophets, and His revelation are proclaimed. Therefore, apart from the Holy Quran and the authentic collections of the Prophet's (PBUH) hadiths, two sources whose truth and certainty are established and known without any doubt, a large part of the rest of the great body of Islamic literature based on human thought/interpretations can be subjected to the scrutiny and scrutiny of deconstruction and/or other textual analyses within a broader philosophical and biographical framework using anthropology, psychology, sociology, historicism, etc. e. The intellectual challenges posed by postmodernism in the form of colonialism, evolutionism, rationalism, empiricism, existentialism, agnosticism, individualism, secularism, capitalism, humanism, nihilism, deconstruction and the like can only be answered intellectually and philosophically. جایگاه و نقش عقل در قرآن، نقشی حیاتی در فهم رابطه اسلام با مدرنیته و پست‌مدرنیسم ایفا می‌کند. دلیل این امر آن است که در بسیاری از روایت‌ها، مدرنیته شامل اشاعه عقل‌گرایی در تمام حوزه‌های زندگی است و دغدغه اصلی پست‌مدرنیسم معطوف به ساختارشکنی مفروضات و وعده‌های عقل ابزاری است این امر پیامدهای جدی برای رابطه معرفت‌شناختی اسلام با پست‌مدرنیسم و همچنین وضعیت پست‌مدرن که در حوزه اجتماعی-سیاسی تجلی می‌یابد، دارد. سوال و محور اصلی این پژوهش تاثیرات پست مدرنیسم بر نگرش انتقادی متفکران متاخر جهان اسلام است. با اتکا به روش تبیینی می توان گفت که تا جایی که به انکار همه روایت‌های بزرگ توسط پست‌مدرنیست‌ها مربوط می‌شود، ما یگانگی خداوند و حقانیت دین او، پیامبران او و وحی او را اعلام می‌ شود. بنابراین، جدا از قرآن کریم و مجموعه‌های معتبر احادیث پیامبر اکرم (ص)، دو منبعی که حقیقت و قطعیت آنها بدون هیچ شکی ثابت و شناخته شده است، بخش عمده‌ای از بقیه مجموعه بزرگ ادبیات اسلامی مبتنی بر تفکر/تفسیرهای انسانی را می‌توان در چارچوب فلسفی و زندگینامه‌ای وسیع‌تری با استفاده از انسان‌شناسی، روانشناسی، جامعه‌شناسی و تاریخ‌گرایی و غیره، در معرض دقت و موشکافی ساختارشکنی و/یا سایر تحلیل‌های متنی قرار داد. این به معنای امکان تفسیرهای چندگانه و بهتر از سخنان پیامبر اکرم (ص) است. چالش‌های فکری مطرح شده توسط پست مدرنیسم در قالب استعمارگرایی، تکامل‌گرایی، عقل‌گرایی، تجربه‌گرایی، اگزیستانسیالیسم، لاادری‌گری، فردگرایی، سکولاریسم، سرمایه‌داری، اومانیسم، نیهیلیسم، ساختارشکنی و موارد مشابه، تنها از طریق فکری و فلسفی قابل پاسخ هستند.
